Mummy MOT®

Having a baby is a major event for your body. Whether your birth was straightforward or more complex, a Mummy MOT® is a specialist postnatal check designed to assess how your body is recovering and help you feel like you again.
At Jen Stroud Physiotherapy, your Mummy MOT® includes a thorough assessment of your posture, tummy muscles, pelvic floor, and any aches, pains or scar healing issues (including C-section scars). We’ll talk through your concerns – from leaking or prolapse symptoms to returning to exercise – and create a tailored plan to support your recovery and long-term well-being.
Suitable from 6 weeks post vaginal birth and 8 weeks caesarean birth (and even years later!), this is expert, compassionate care to help you move forward with confidence.

Pregnancy Prenatal Physiotherapy
Pregnancy physiotherapy focuses on supporting your body through the physical changes of pregnancy. Treatment can help relieve common discomforts such as back, pelvic, and hip pain, improve posture and mobility, and prepare your body for labour and recovery. Sessions are tailored to each stage of pregnancy and aim to keep you comfortable, confident, and moving safely.​​Initial appointment up to 60 minutes £75. Pessary Assessment and Fitting
£180 (£90 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking)

Shockwave Therapy
First, you’ll need a physiotherapy assessment to make sure that shockwave is right for you. You can have shockwave with an additional cost of £20 on top of the cost of the booked session (this is because the machine wears with each use and parts need to be purchased and fitted at regular intervals).
For any shockwave only appointments (up to 15 minutes) prices are:
£55 per shockwave treatment area or £50 each if at least 3 are paid for at the same time. Total of £150.
We recommend 3 sessions first and then seeing how you are for a few weeks before booking further sessions.
